We will provide you with name tags this year, but we are asking that you make 4 Quilled gift tags that you can swap with other members. We will have a paid bus trip to the Ringling museum on Sunday if we have enough interested members. See the newsletter for more information.

Thanks to the generosity of the members who volunteer their time and expertise, we hope to offer a variety of classes/workshops. If you would like to volunteer to teach a class/workshop, give demos or “Make-it/Take-its”, please let me know your decision as soon as possible and fill out and return to me the Volunteer Instructor Registration Form. When teachers/classes are confirmed, I will notify attendees when to choose classes.

The NAQGCON is a very special event; it’s an opportunity to meet and know other quillers, see their work, and learn new techniques. All conference events are held in the hotel (competition, classes/demos, and public viewing hours). The general schedule goes something like this: Most attendees arrive Thursday afternoon to pre-register, receive their ‘goodie’ bag w/conference information, greet and meet other quillers. Friday is a day of classes/workshops and viewing competition entries. Vendors usually set up their tables to be available Friday evening and all day Saturday. Members that bring personal work to display only will set up Saturday morning.

The day is spent viewing displays, giving demos or make & takes with some classes, vendor shopping. There will also be some paid classes offered on Saturday, more info at a later date. The raffle table drawings, voting and announcement of competition winners is usually Saturday evening. The public is also invited to come and view our work on Saturday afternoon.

The competition is open to all NAQG members, whether or not you plan to attend the conference. Be sure to read the Competition Guidelines and contact the Competition Coordinator if you have any questions.

If you plan to donate any giveaways, or items for the raffle table, and send them to me by mail, please let me know as soon as possible and include a note inside so I know what the items are for.

This event takes a lot of work and planning, I hope you will help me and return the required forms and payments to me as early as possible.

Please remember to bring your own quilling tools, glue, scissors, etc. (packed inside your luggage) and extra paper to practice all the things you will see and learn. You can contact me at (941) 928-8669 or via email at with any questions.

Vendors will usually set up their booths so they are available Friday night and all day Saturday.

Saturday: Includes classes (if needed); admiring everyone's work; giving demonstrations, as well as greeting and teaching the public who come to see our work; also the announcement of the competition winners.

Sunday: A group bus trip will be available for those that would like to attend. This will be a paid bus trip. See your Quill America for more information or contact your hostess

The competition is open to all NAQG members, whether or not you plan to attend the conference. If you are not attending and plan to submit work by mail in the competition, please let me know in advance. I must receive your mailed work, with return postage included, 2 weeks before the conference date.

There are usually giveaways and/or a raffle/auction table of donated items during the conference. If you plan to donate and mail any items please let me know and mark the items, so I know which are to be used for giveaways, raffle/auction, and which items are for the competition.

These events take a lot of work and planning and you can help make my job a lot easier by mailing and returning to me all required forms and payments as early as possible.

Thanks to the generosity of the members who volunteer their services and expertise, we are able to offer a variety of classes/workshops.
